Rebecca holds an MA in Theatre Studies from York University (2011) and a BA Honours in Drama and Creative Writing from the University of Alberta (2004). Her dissertation research examines transformations in the role, structure, and representation of the fashion show in a mediatized consumer culture. The exposure to several cultures at an early age\u2014growing up in Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina\u2014determined&nbsp;her&nbsp;profound&nbsp;interest&nbsp;in understanding and exploring themes that are culturally specific and how they can be transmitted and translated outside their own context. She received a BFA in Film\/Animation\/Video at Rhode Island School of Design in 2006. She worked at Pochron Studios, a fine art printing and retouching studio in New York City, before moving back to Latin America.&nbsp;Her photobook&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.liviaradwanski.com\/unosotrosmexicos\">Unos Otros M\u00e9xicos I<\/a>&nbsp;was finalist in the I International Iberoamerican Photobook Award coordinated by RM editorial in 2010 and she received honourable mention at the II Artist Book Fair coordinated by Centro de la Imagen during Fotoseptiembre 2011. Her multimedia documentary project&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.liviaradwanski.com\/merida90\">M\u00e9rida90<\/a>&nbsp;was published as a book in 2012 by Tumbona Ediciones and exhibited in the collective show &#8220;Gentrification is not a lady\u2019s name&#8221; at the Modern Art Museum in Mexico City in 2013 and in 2016 in the exhibit &#8220;Piso- Pilot: Barcelona- Mexico&#8221; at the Franz Mayer Museum. His research interests include urban culture, popular music, and urban tourism. He is the author of 20 books, including <em>Urban Imaginaries<\/em> (10 editions, translated to several languages), director of the international project \u201cUrban Imaginaries,\u201d and editor of the series: <em>Imagined Cities<\/em> and audiovisual program <em>TV Imagined Cities<\/em>. He has been invited to major world events of art and culture such as Documenta 11 in Kassel, Germany (2002), Sao Paulo Biennale (2004), and Venice Biennale (2006). In 2015 she was visiting research fellow at McGill University in Montr\u00e9al, Qu\u00e9bec. She published the monograph <em>Naked City. Features of Identity, Independence, and Research in the Filmography on New York City<\/em> (2013), as well as articles in books and journals (<em>Cin\u00e9ma&amp;Cie<\/em>, <em>SegnoCinema<\/em>, <em>Duellanti<\/em>, <em>Invideo<\/em>\u2019s catalogue).
