She is the Founder of the Canadian Fashion Scholars Network, and organizes the annual fashion symposia across Canada. Her overview of the Canadian Fashion Scholars Networks focuses on the importance and challenges of building networks and communities of scholarship and collaborations, the history of establishing a network of fashion scholars and professionals in Canada, and the importance of championing Canadian fashion studies, fashion design, and fashion culture nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>Katrina Sark enseigne les Etudes Culturelles, les Etudes du Genre et des M\u00e9dias, et les Etudes Slaves et Germaniques \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Victoria. Her recent curated student exhibits include <i>Caf\u00e9 Counterculture <\/i>(2018), <i>Revolution 100<\/i>(2017)<i>, <\/i>and<i>Fashion Lounge<\/i>(2016). Her research explores how the language of glamour permeates the narratives of various cities, with a specific focus on Toronto. Her work has been featured in <i>TranscUlturAl <\/i>(2016), <i>International Journal of Fashion Studie<\/i>s (2016), <i>The Journal of Curatorial Studies<\/i>(2013), and <i>World Film Locations: Berlin <\/i>(2012)<i>. <\/i>She also served as a co-editor at <i>Descant Magazine<\/i>and guest-edited its 2014 special issue on Berlin. She is the general editor of Intellect Book\u2019s Urban Chic series and the co-author of the volumes on Berlin, Vienna, and Los Angeles. Under the supervision of Dr. Irene Gammel, Jaclyn conducted research on the impact of dress on the friendships and social identities of young female characters in 20<sup>th<\/sup>-century literature as part of her M.A. in Fashion at Ryerson University. Jaclyn joined Ryerson University\u2019s Modern Literature and Culture Research Centre in 2016 and holds the role of editorial assistant for <i>Fashion Studies<\/i>, co-founded and co-edited by Dr. Ben Barry and Dr. Alison Matthews David, the first open-access journal in the transdisciplinary field of fashion.<\/p>\n<p>Jaclyn Marcus est doctorante dans le programme commun de Communication et Culture de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Ryerson et de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 York, sa recherche se concentre sur l\u2019intersection entre la mode et la litt\u00e9rature. She co-edited the Routledge volumes <em>The Thing About Museums<\/em>(2011) and <em>Narrating Objects, Collecting Stories<\/em>(2012) and edited a special issue of the journal <em>Clothing Cultures<\/em>in 2016. Another co-edited volume, <em>Fashioning Horror<\/em>, was published by Bloomsbury in December 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Julia Petrov est curatrice de la section de Western Canadian History au Royal Alberta Museum. Most of her work explores technology, being, and the body. Interdisciplinary in nature, Webster\u2019s sculptural pieces critically investigate intersections between object and performance, fashion and computing, the body and its context, public and private. Webster\u2019s work has been exhibited and published internationally in Europe, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and North America. She completed an MFA Media at the Slade in London, UK, holds a BFA from Emily Carr University, and a diploma from Langara College. Her recent work, entitled <em>Disturbed Networks<\/em>, was recently on display at the <em>Coded Threads<\/em>exhibition of textiles and technology at the Western Gallery in Bellingham, Washington. She is currently working on two commissions for the permanent collection of the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago with an exhibition opening in March 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Suzi Webster est une artiste et dessinatrice de multi-m\u00e9dias contemporaines bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Vancouver.
